Alan Ibbertson - Auger Boring Supervisor

Alan joined Terebro as Site Supervisor in 2002. He worked for the National Coal Board shot firing coalfaces before becoming Pit Deputy. After leaving the NCB, Alan worked in Saudi Arabia for a main tunnelling contractor and has over twenty years experience of civils work in the industry, mainly in tunnelling and shaft sinking. He has worked with many of the leading contractors both in the UK and worldwide before joining Terebro. Alan is a qualified tower crane operator as well as 360° and 180° track machines. Alan is also a qualified Bohrtec Machine Operator and now uses his experience to provide auger boring training to customers hiring or buying the equipment.

Outside work, Alan enjoys flying his pigeons and socialising.
