- BM500 is used for the construction of sewers ranging from DN300 to DN800
- BM400 is used for the construction of sewers ranging from DN150 to DN450
- BM150 D is used for the construction of house connections up to DN150
- BM150 DT is used for the construction of house connections from inside a min 1200mm diameter sewer.
Auger drill systems are very competitive for the construction of DN800mm sewers of up to 70m in length as opposed to conventional micro-tunnelling or open cut methods. The full range of equipment is designed around the auger, which transmits the torque from the drive unit to the bore head and conveys the excavated material from the drill head. The hollow centre of the auger is used to supply air, bentonite or water to the drill head or can be used as an optical passage when using a guidance system.
The machinery is of rugged construction and has been designed to meet practical needs. A full range of accessories is available including various types of drill heads to accommodate different ground conditions; hammer drills for rock conditions and the Bohrtec flexible seal adapter for watertight connections to the main sewer. Bohrtec have also designed a patented Water Auger to allow operation below the water table. All this technology makes Bohrtec the right choice for auger boring equipment.
